Work

Engagements that moved from competing versions to one operating result.

These are typical forms of work, described without client names. They cover computer systems design, specialised design services, software development and business process consulting.

Fragmented service estate

Condition: several systems claiming the same customer record, none trusted as the source.

Intervention through systems integration services and business process consulting. The resolved state was a single operating picture and a platform the service team could maintain.

Public-facing application, rebuilt around the actual task.

Paired paper prototypes of an interface layout

UX and UI design services with web and application design, followed by software development services. Journeys were rewritten from observed work. The interface stopped asking people to compensate for a process that had never been redesigned.

Operating model before procurement.

Management consulting services recast the process first. Technology strategy consulting then named a smaller, more honest build. Cloud computing solutions followed that brief rather than a vendor shortlist.

Analytics that support a decision, not a wall of charts

Data analytics services tied to a named decision cycle. Reports that could not change an action were removed from the working set.

Cybersecurity consulting brought into the original design, so access, logging and recovery were not a late wrapper around a finished product.

W06

A core service on a cloud platform the internal team could still operate.

Computer systems design, cloud computing solutions and business support services delivered together. No remaining duplicate graphics. The work was ready to be run.
